Parents are expected to take an active and positive role in supervising the completion of homework, which is compulsory for all children. Homework requirements are approximately as follows.
Ages 3 Years - 4 Years
10 minutes occasionally consisting of colouring, drawing, puzzles, mazes, looking at books etc.
Ages 4 Years - 5 Years
15 minutes nightly consisting of colouring, finishing off work started in class, learning letters/words, pre-writing practice and reading.
Ages 5 Years - 7 Years
20 minutes nightly consisting of practice work in maths, reading, writing and spelling and general revision.
Ages 7 Years - 8 Years
25 minutes nightly as above
No new work will be given as homework
Ages 8 Years - 11 Years
30 minutes nightly, revision, reinforcement and practice of basic skills.
