Facilities

The school has many useful and well equipped facilities, which include a library, school field and playground. The school has also recently just been fitted with interactive whiteboards in the junior classrooms as well as brand new computers in all classrooms.

The Library

Our school library is well equipped with beginner picture books right up to books appropriate to 11 year olds. It also has a well stocked non fiction section ,which includes many history, geography and science books that link in with the curriculum. We also stock sections on religious, poetry and seasonal books. Each class has one library session per week in which they are taught how to use the library properly and get to choose a book to take home.

The School Field

At Trentvale we feel that sport is an important part of our curriculum, so we hire a school field every Friday for the junior school children. On this field years 3 - 6 play sports such as hockey, football, touch rugby, athletics and rounders. This is reinforced in the playground twice a week with skills lessons based around these sports and including a few others such as netball and basketball. The infant school uses the playground for sports twice a week and the whole school goes down to the field once a year, so the children can participate in sports day, to which parents are free to come.
